NCIMS meets biennially in odd-numbered years. The Conference had its first official meeting in 1950. Additional information about the 2017 conference will be added on this page as it is available.
The 2017 Conference was held May 12-17, 2017 at the Amway Grand Plaza, Curio Collection by Hilton, Grand Rapids, Michigan.

Information on the Proposals which were passed by the delegates at the 2017 NCIMS will be available after the Executive Board meeting when FDA concurrence is reached on all proposals.
Dr. Stephen Beam, California Department of Food & Agriculture, Sacramento, California, was elected Chair for the 2019 Conference. David Lattan, Prairie Farms Dairy, Carlinville, Illinois, was re-elected Vice Chair at the conclusion of the 2017 Conference Executive Board meeting. An Orientation Session NCIMS Orientation 2017 was presented on May 13, 2017 by Program Chair, Cary Frye, the Conference Chair Steven Beam, Council I Chair Gena Reich, Council II Chair, Tom Angstadt and Council III Chair, Doug Cart.
The Symposium on May 13, 2017 was moderated by Cary Frye and included the following presentations:
Appendix N Committee Update on Raw Milk Testing Pilot for Non-Beta Lactam Drugs by Roger Hooi, Appendix N Committee Chair.
Update on FDA’s Activities on Foreign Equivalency with the Grade “A” Program by Ted Elkin, Deputy Center Director, Regulatory Affairs, CFSAN, FDA.
FSMA and Preventative Controls Implementation by Jennifer Thomas, Acting Interim Associate Director for FSMA Operations, CFSAN, FDA.
USDA Grading and Standardization Overview by William Francis, Director, USDA Dairy Grading and Standardization.
During the Opening General Session on May 14, 2017, the FDA Report to NCIMS was presented by Dr. Nega Beru, Director, Office of Food Safety and Applied Nutrition, FDA.
