The NCIMS is governed by an Executive Board that is elected or appointed to represent a broad variety of regulatory agencies, across geographic regions and disciplines. In addition to the Executive Board, committees have been established to study various proposals and report their findings to the Board, the Councils and to the following Conference. These studies and reports aid the council members and delegates in making informed decisions as they deliberate and vote on the proposals. To facilitate the basic function of the Conference, Councils have been appointed to consider the improvements in and modification of the NCIMS agreements.
